We made it to and from Hawaii safely and had a great time. We are still recovering -- we are all so sleepy! I'm not going to write much commentary; I am worn out just from sorting through our hundreds of pictures, choosing the ones to post, and then uploading them. Hopefully our (mostly) smiling faces are enough proof that we had a very nice getaway.
This was Findlay's first airplane ride... He was very still and focused as the airplane was taking off. I think he liked the noise, as well as the vibration.
We had a really early morning the day we left and William didn't sleep on the airplane... so he was very exhausted by the time we got to the airport in Hawaii.
We didn't give the little guys (or ourselves!) regular naps, so Findlay took any chance he got to sleep.
Our mouths are blue from shaved ice... which also gave William a boost of energy!

I wanted to get a picture of William and Findlay together, and for some reason suggesting the idea made Findlay really sad!

William, proudly wearing the balloon hat from Senor Frog's.

Sweet William likes to bite grapes in half and feed them to Findlay. Findlay is up to 15 lbs 11oz now (at 12 months), for those of you who have recently asked... we're giving him oil again/still (we kind of drifted off for a while, but our doctor said to pick it up again) and are hoping to see him jump a bit more on his growth curve at his next appointment (at 18 months).
Findlay, taking sleep anywhere he can get it.
Kailua Beach, again...
Findlay really enjoyed sitting at the little table in the Chip and Cookie store (formerly Famous Amos).
Michael and William, before their night out on the town (they went to see a Cirque du Soleil performance).
Findlay, telling us how tired he is... the theme of his vacation.
exploring the sand...
Silly William, happy to be back on the beach.
more silliness
off to explore
sweet brothers
Someone who wasn't me had the great idea that William somersault down the hill over and over. I think these boys still have sand in their hair! This picture might give you the idea of who had the great idea :)

This picture below is my favorite picture from our trip.

destroying sandcastle #2 (William's favorite part, I think)

Shortly after we drove away from the beach they both fell asleep.
